The "Support to Consolidation of Democracy in Mozambique" programme was developed to provide support during and after the 2018 municipal and 2019 general elections in Mozambique, which presented an opportunity to consolidate democratic institutions and processes. 

“Supporting Mali's Transition to Peace and Democracy" is a SIDA-funded project contributing to Sweden’s development cooperation strategy for Mali 2021–2025, specifically on promotion of inclusive constitutional and electoral reform processes to prevent, manage and resolve conflicts peacefully. It is envisaged that these reforms in the long term will contribute to strengthening the respect for human rights, democracy, and the rule of law in Mali.

“Consolidation of democratic dispensation in The Gambia (CODE)” is an EU-funded project intended to contribute to the consolidation of a democratic transition in The Gambia, specifically on legitimacy of the transitional Justice Process.

In the wake of the establishment of the Transition in Chad following the death of President Idris Deby Itno, and in response to the appeal to the international community to support the implementation of the roadmap adopted in 2021 by the Transition Government, the European Union (EU) and the International IDEA signed an agreement for the "Support for the Democratic Transition in Chad" programme.
