On 5 May 2024, presidential and legislative elections were held in Panama. A total of 885 public positions were contested, including 701 representatives of district subdivisions (corregimientos), 81 mayors, 71 national deputies, 20 deputies for the Central American Parliament (PARLACEN), 11 councillors, and the national president (France24 2024).

On 21 April 2024, the Maldives held elections to vote for 93 parliamentary constituencies. MPs are elected via the first past-the-post system (IFES 2024).

On 17 April 2024, Croatia held parliamentary elections for the 151 seats in parliament. By the end of the election, no party had secured an absolute majority – a trend continued from the past three elections since 2015.

Solomon Islands held general elections on 17 April 24 (Aljazeera 2024).

The Republic of Korea held its 22^nd parliamentary elections on 10 April 2024 (Kim 2024). The unicameral National Assembly is made up of 300 members.

India held its election through a seven-phase process which ran from 19 April 2024 to 1 June 2024. India has a bicameral legislature, and members of the lower house (the Lok Sabha) are directly elected through a first-past-the-post system (IFES 2024).

Senegal’s Presidential Elections were held on 24 March, 2024. Senegalese citizens elect the president by direct universal suffrage through a majority system, with a runoff (University of Florida n.d.).
